The 2026 iteration of the biennial National Travel Monitoring Exposition and Conference (NaTMEC) takes a two-pronged approach to providing travel monitoring professionals and transportation data users with opportunities to share knowledge and good practices.
The Exposition will provide information pertaining to the latest advancements in travel monitoring technology, equipment, and methodology through exhibits and demonstrations.
The Conference will facilitate the exchange of ideas and revisit fundamental travel monitoring concepts through session presentations in the categories of Collecting, Processing, and Sharing.
The goal of NaTMEC 2026 is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of travel monitoring programs and to enhance data-driven decision-making. The event will cover such topics as traffic count collection equipment, collection safety, data contracting, annual factoring (seasonal, class, axle), local AADTs, data quality, federal reporting (HPMS, TMAS, MIRE), public-facing data sharing, GIS, and more!
